Academic Advising
The Office of Advising & Academic Services provides information sessions for all new freshman and transfer students. Compliance enforcement for ELM and EPT, basic skills, upper division writing, and supervision for the university waiver of regulation petitions are also coordinated through the Office of Advising & Academic Services. Undeclared students are assisted with general education and credit summary assistance, academic counseling for continuing students, as well as educational equity support advising and help choosing a major. Student Orientation, Advising and Registration Program
SOAR is required for all new undergraduate students and is much more than just choosing classes. It is an opportunity to meet other new students, discuss academic choices with advisors, get a feel for life in the residence halls, explore majors and career options, and learn what campus life is all about at Cal State San Bernardino.
