The International Center collaborates with the Office of International Admissions to make the admissions process as smooth as possible. The mission of the IC is to assist international students to succeed academically and adjust socially to the U.S. way of life.  To this end, the center promotes diversity on the campus through the International Lecture Series, coordinates the Cultural Ambassadors Program and publishes a newsletter each quarter in an effort to inform students of U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Services and university regulations and upcoming international activities.

The center hosts the international student orientation program each quarter for new graduate and undergraduate students. Valuable information is offered at the orientations that will guide international students in their new academic and professional goals. Faculty, campus administrators, and community representatives give presentations on important academic issues and procedures.
