California State University, San Bernardino is located in the Inland Empire of Southern California. This is one of the fastest growing regions in the nation. Our scenic university is located at the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, about 60 miles west of Palm Springs. You can visit Disneyland, mountain resorts with snow skiing, beaches and Los Angeles within approximately one hour’s drive from the campus.
The city bus service provides transportation within San Bernardino and the Inland Empire communities. Taxi services and regional bus lines are available as well. Ontario International Airport is less than 30 minutes away.
The San Bernardino area has a Mediterranean-type climate with mild winters. Our hot, dry summers usually have cool nights. Winter temperatures are in the 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit range, while the summer months will have many days with temperature from 90 to 100 degrees. The average annual rainfall is about 15 inches. Humidity during most of the year is low.
