Transfer Applicants
Students who are transferring from a college or university are considered to be transfer applicants. The number of transferable units (credits, hours, etc.) will determine whether the applicant is a lower- or upper-division transfer.
Lower Division
A student who transfers from a college or university with less than 60 transferable semester (90 quarter) units is considered to be a lower division transfer student.
In order to be eligible for admission, the applicant must meet the admission requirements for a freshman; have a U.S. equivalent grade point average* of 2.4 or higher, and be in good standing at the last college or university attended.
*Grade point average note: U.S. standard grade point average is based on a 4.0 = A scale.
Transfer Applicants Upper Division
A student who transfers from a college or university with 60 or more transferable semester (90 quarter) units is considered to be an upper-division transfer student.
