Campus Events

Events hosted by the Office of Admissions & Student Recruitment include:

Overnight Stay Program: TBA (Feb., Mar., Apr., & May 2010)

High school seniors are invited to stay on campus overnight with a student host. The guest will follow their host through a typical night and day on our campus. This may include class time, work time, study time and leisure time.

It is open to both Juniors and Seniors. The application for the program may be found at the Office of Housing & Residential Life website.

College: Making It Happen: TBA March 2010

6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Santos Manuel Student Union Event Center

Parents of middle school students are invited to a program that will provide information about all aspects of college. Representatives from the California State University, University of California, private universities and community colleges will be available to provide  information about their institutions of higher learning. Financial aid will also be discussed. This event is held in English as well as Spanish.

Open House: TBA

The community is invited to visit our campus. Faculty is available to talk with interested students about what CSUSB has to offer. Information sessions are available from campus offices, including admissions, financial aid, Educational Opportunity Program and housing. Application workshops are also provided.

Presidential Scholar’s Banquet: TBA, November 2010

6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the Coussoulis Arena

The top 1% of the high school graduation class of 2009 in San Bernardino will be honored at the ninth annual scholars' banquet. Close to 300 of the county's top high school seniors representing 55 high schools will be recognized for their academic excellence. Students who choose to attend Cal State San Bernardino in the Fall of 2010 will be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship which is renewable if a 3.5 GPA and full-time student standing are maintained.
